So the presidential race has begun in earnest.
I have one comment of vital importance.
Huckabee is not a winning name. Seriously. Huckabee?
Can you imagine being introduced to a ‘President Huckabee’? Could you manage to not laugh? Could you manage to not smile in amusement?
And Ron Paul sounds incomplete as a name. It feels like someone left off the last name.
Barack Obama is actually a cool name. Probably the coolest of any major competetor. Only problem is it doesn’t sound very American. President Obama sounds more like you’d be in a Middle Eastern country.
And as we all know, the president’s name and how it sounds when prefixed by president is the most important factor when voting.
Also, in completely unrelated news, in the Honor Harrington books when Earl White Haven dies will Raoul or Katherine inherent the title? Wikipedia is of no help as of right now the only person who knows is David Weber. C’mon man, get the next book out.
I am also currently not wanting the People’s Republic of Haven to lose the war. I was actually kind of hoping that Tourville’s assault on Manticore would succeed so that the Peeps and the Manties can get to what’s really important.
Teaming up and beating on Manpower Incorporated. Man those guys suck.
And I honestly cannot remember why the Manties believed the assassination attempt Berry Zilwicki had anything to do with the proposed peace talks between Queen Elizabeth and President Pritchart. And the entire reason the Manties resumed shooting with the Peeps was because they believed that the Peeps had perpetrated the assassination because they wanted to stop the talks.
Oh well, as Weber doesn’t kill off Tourville, I’ll probably be happy.

You are SO dumb. How handsome he is and whether he has good “executive hair” matters even more than the sound of his name!

Isn’t Manpower, Inc the temp company you work for?
Or have I missed out on something by not reading Honor Harrington?

Actually, yes, Manpower, Inc. is the name of the temp agency I used to work for.
It is also the name of the company that runs the genetic slave trade in the Honor Harrington novels. Maybe Weber had a bad run-in with the real Manpower.
